The story behind the artwork

Part of my "elements" series that focuses on desert landscapes, brushfire explores the explosive element of fire. The three remaining elements (air, water, and earth) are represented in the small canvases below to act as a counter-balance.

By combining highly texturized canvases with metallic paints a unique shimmering landscape appears that varies according to light source and viewpoint. A must see in person!
