ArtExpo 2008
Thanks to everyone who came out to this year's ArtExpo Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center! It was an exciting show for me and I enjoyed meeting gallery owners, collectors, publishers, and art lovers from all over the world. I made a lot of important connections at the show, and plan to attend again in the future. I also received some great press before the show. Check out my artices in the Review Journal and View News. Congratulations goes out to Keith of Las Vegas for winning my signed limited edition print of drape. To all of you who entered the drawing, thank you for your support! Be sure to check out my post-show review article for more details.

Southern Nevada Center for the Arts
For all of you who frequent Las Vegas or are locals, I encourage you to keep an eye on the Neonopolis project. I was down on the site yesterday and it is really coming together. As some of you may already know the second floor of the Neonopolis complex on Fremont Street is being converted into a museum and retail gallery spaces. The project is being modeled after the highly successful Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. Perhaps many of you know, I lived in Alexandria for 20 years and am a graduate of Mount Vernon High school. I was a member of the Art League Gallery and School at the Torpedo Factory for many years as I developed my skills as an artist. I am tickled to be a part of this new project at the Neonopolis and am looking forward to its grand opening in October. So please come by and visit us at the Southern Nevada Center for the Arts on the second floor of the Neonopolis on historic Fremont Street. There will be painters, sculptors, photographers, and jewelry makers represented. In fact, you'll probably see me as you come out of the elevator. I'll be sharing the gallery directly in front of the elevators with popular local ceramicist, Teresa Testa. We'll be open to the public by October 8th. I'm planning on being there Monday through Friday, from 12 - 6pm. Teresa will be there on Saturdays, from 1 - 9pm. Please call if you have any questions or you would like to schedule an appointment. (702) 563-9609.

Until next time, farewell!
